i only ever dreamed i would be a designer one day/ one day has come/ my original qween of the Aafrofuture design is me stepping into the future holding firmly to a tradition from the past whose presence has not faded/ it features a mudcloth pattern/ in the Bambara language of Mali West Africa “Bògòlanfini” combines three root words: “bogo” (earth or mud), “lan” (with), and “fini” (cloth) speaking to how the cloth is traditionally made/ mudcloth (“Bògòlanfini”) has been popularized in international fashion by the Malian fashion designer Chris Seydou and is still gaining in popularity in today's fashion and home decor industries/ my original art also features the declaration "i am a qween of the Aafrofuture"/ both the declaration and the design are bold, unconventional, creative, and powerful/ this is the choice of an intentional woman who is more interested in walking in her authenticity than blending in
